Pure Batana Hair Oil | Nevorea

Pure batana oil, cold-pressed from the raw ojon palm fruit of Honduras, is one of the most intensely nourishing treatments you can give hair that has been damaged, thinned, or stripped by processing.

Unlike oils that sit on the surface to give the appearance of moisture, batana penetrates deep into the hair shaft because of its exceptional concentration of oleic acid and natural tocopherols. It is a traditional remedy among the Miskito people of Honduras, used for generations to maintain dense, long, healthy hair. This pure expression contains nothing else, which makes it versatile enough to use as a scalp treatment, a pre-shampoo mask, or a finishing drop on dry hair.

The Ritual

Melt a small amount between your palms, as it is solid at room temperature, and massage into the scalp and work through the lengths. Leave for at least thirty minutes before shampooing, or apply overnight. Its scent is earthy and nutty, distinctive but not heavy once rinsed.
